We create our menu based on the information we receive related to food allergies or restrictions from our guests who make a reservation in
advance. The menu will usually be announced two days prior to the dinner on our social media pages.

CONCEPT

Our concept is simple!

Bring people together from all walks of life through food. We want to provide an experience for our guests & not just a tasty meal.

Consistency is what great Chefs strive for. We believe consistency is death! We try to be consistent in experience, not in taste. You’re
always headed to the same place, but we have to find new challenges and dangerous ways of getting there to be exciting. As best as we can be, at that moment of time before we evolve and learn again.

One tasting a week,  12 available seats,  one seating only!

Private, intimate but cozy where you can be as casual as you like & enjoy a vibrant meal with your friends or meeting other like-minded diners along the way.

CHEF & FOUNDER, STEVEN JOHN

Steven is a very dedicated Chef who made his hobby to his passion project. Empty Plates is literally his home that he decided to renovate and transform into his own food lab, welcoming curious foodies to taste his creations in a laid back setting.

Creative, innovative, ambitious with no fear of crossing boundaries, because there are none in cooking & always prioritizing taste over anything else, that is the way he would describe his approach to cooking.

Being culinary shaped by the influences of growing up in Europe, surrounded by great cooks in the family and moving to his mother’s home country in 2009, he became fascinated with local ingredients, the differences in Asian cuisines and fundamental cooking. After years of privately cooking, experimenting, working on his craft he was able to gain valuable experiences from several learning stints in well-established Restaurants in Thailand, he opened Empty Plates in April 2018 where he serves his style of food, which is unique in its own ways.
